چکیده

The typical AdS/QCDmodels deal with the large-Nc limit of QCD, as a consequence the meson spectrum consists of the infinite number of states that is far from the real situation. Basing on introduction of anharmonic corrections to the holographic potential, the corrections whose existence has been recently advocated, we construct a class of bottom-up holographic models describing arbitrary finite number of states in the sector of light mesons. Within the proposed approach, the spectrum of masses square has the following properties: It is linear, mn ∼ n, at not very large n, nonlinear at larger n, with the nonlinear corrections being subleading in 1/Nc, has a limiting mass, and the number of states is proportional to Nc. The considered holographic models reflect thereby the merging of resonances into continuum and the breaking of gluon string at sufficiently large quark-antiquark separation that causes the linear Regge trajectories to bend down. We show that these models provide a correct description for the spectrum of excited ρ-mesons. On leave of absence from V. A. Effective String Theory of Vortices and Regge Trajectories of Hybrid Mesons with Zero Mass Quarks

We show how a field theory containing classical vortex solutions can be expressed as an effective string theory of long distance QCD describing the two transverse oscillations of the string. We use the semiclassical expansion of this effective string theory about a classical rotating string solution to obtain Regge trajectories for mesons with zero mass quarks. The first semiclassical correctio...

Soft-wall model of AdS/QCD: The case of light scalar mesons

We study light scalar mesons in the AdS/QCD soft-wall model with a background dilaton field, to investigate the features of this approach in describing QCD properties in the strong coupling regime. We find that the masses and decay constants are compatible with experiment and QCD determinations if a0(980) and f0(980) are identified as the lightest scalar mesons; moreover, the states are organiz...

Towards understanding Regge trajectories in holographic QCD

We reassess a work done by Migdal on the spectrum of low-energy vector mesons in QCD in the light of the AdS-QCD correspondence. Recently, a tantalizing parallelism was suggested between Migdal’s work and a family of holographic duals of QCD. Despite the intriguing similarities, both approaches face a major drawback: the spectrum is in conflict with well-tested Regge scaling. However, while hol...

We show how an effective field theory of long distance QCD, describing a dual superconductor, can be expressed as an effective string theory of superconducting vortices. We evaluate the semiclassical expansion of this effective string theory about a classical rotating string solution in any spacetime dimension D. We show that, after renormalization, the zero point energy of the string fluctuati...

String Models of Glueball and Regge Trajectories

The closed relativistic string carrying two point-like masses is considered as the model of a glueball with two constituent gluons. Here the gluon-gluon interaction is simulated by a pair of strings. For this system exact solutions of classical equations of motions are obtained. They describe rotational states of the string resulting in the set of quasilinear Regge trajectories with different b...
